About

What is QLM Studio?

QLM Studio is the simulation builder for Quantum Learning Machines — the adaptive learning platform that measures how students think, not just what they know.

The Platform

A simulation builder connected to an adaptive engine

QLM Studio lets teachers, curriculum designers, and content creators build interactive simulations using six template engines: Physics, Biology, Chemistry, Logic, Narrative, and Spatial.

Every simulation built in Studio is scored by the QLM adaptive engine — the same engine that powers 33,000+ items across 28 domain banks on the QLM play platform. When a student plays a simulation, the engine measures their performance across seven cognitive dimensions (D1–D7), producing a granular cognitive profile from a single play session.

Simulations are published to the QLM Marketplace, where students discover and play them at play.quantumlearningmachines.com. Creators see cognitive data on every play. Teachers see how their students reason. The platform sees patterns across thousands of learners.
The Thesis

Creation is assessment

Traditional assessment treats creation and measurement as separate activities. Students create projects in one context and take tests in another. QLM Studio collapses this distinction.
When a student builds a physics simulation, we measure whether they understand the physics. When another student plays it, we measure how they think through the problem.
The creator demonstrates mastery through the design of the simulation — the parameters they choose, the constraints they set, the solution paths they create. The player demonstrates reasoning through how they navigate the challenge. Two cognitive profiles. One simulation. One engine.
How It Connects

Studio is one part of the QLM ecosystem

QLM Studio does not exist in isolation. It is connected to the broader Quantum Learning Machines platform.
QLM Studio
Build and publish simulations. AI-powered generation from learning objectives. Six template engines. Full customization.
QLM Play
Students discover and play simulations, games, and STEM challenges. Every interaction produces cognitive data measured by the adaptive engine.
TeacherOS
Teachers see classroom-level cognitive data, mastery tracking, and standards alignment. Parent reports show how each child reasons.
